Amanda Holden Says David Walliams Ignored Her Advice On 'Britain's Got Talent'

Who Ignored Amanda's Advice?

Amanda Holden has told how David Walliams paid little attention to her words of wisdom when he landed his Britain's Got Talent judging role.

David was a hit on the judging panel of the ITV1 show this year with fellow newcomer Alesha Dixon, Amanda and Simon Cowell.

Amanda told Glamour magazine of the new line-up: "I love having another girl on there in Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams asked my advice about Simon Cowell.

"I said, 'Simon's got an incredible sense of humour, but don't take the p*** too much', which he promptly ignored."

Amanda, who will next be seen fronting ITV1's search for a new lead actor for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar, admitted it would be a big role for her, because of her own background.

She told The Sun: "It's probably the most important gig I've done because I slogged for years in musical theatre to get my break.

"When I was at drama school, Andrew was like a god. We literally worshipped at the altar of his music."
