EXCLUSIVE CLIP: 'Fastest' Follows Valentino Rossi Chasing His MotoGP Dream... (PHOTOS)

EXCLUSIVE CLIP: Valentino Rossi Hot On The Wheels Of History

Just as Ayrton Senna was an icon to millions more people than just die-hard fans of Formula One, so the myth of Valentino Rossi has captured the imagination of many who will never set foot on a MotoGP circuit.

The cheerful Italian, so laid-back and jocular away from the track, becomes a ruthless demon as soon as he gets together with his celebrated No 46 wheels. And it's paid off, with a record in the sport that is matched by only one other in its history, the legendary Giacomo Agostini.

This documentary, Fastest, directed by experienced film-maker Mark Neale, charts the dramatic season of 2011, as Rossi chased his world title, and Australian whipper-snapper Casey Stoner chased him.

Narrated by Ewan McGregor, this film doesn't try to penetrate the dark soul of one sportsman as Senna did. Instead, it gets in the guts of the pits, and shows the commitment of Rossi and his peers to one of the world's most dangerous sports, including the Italian's unfathomable comeback following a leg-shattering crash, during a season that will live in fans' minds, long after the wheels have stopped spinning.
