One Direction are spending that big bonus from Simon Cowell very wisely.
Zayn Malik has become the latest member of the band to climb onto the property ladder and buy a house.
The boybander has splashed his cash on a £2.2m, six bedroom home in north London, complete with indoor pool.
The property in the Hyver Hill area is close to the house where Zayn and the rest of the boys stayed while competing on The X Factor back in 2010.
A source told The Sun: “Zayn is trying to be smart with his money by putting it into bricks and mortar.
“He fell in love with the house. The deciding factor was the huge indoor swimming pool.
“He’s already planning some pool parties for when the band are back in town.”
Only yesterday it was revealed that Liam Payne had moved in with his girlfriend Danielle Peazer.
And Louis Tomlinson recently purchased a £2m London property after moving out of the bachelor pad he shared with Harry Styles in North London.

Meanwhile, it has been rumoured the boys are planning to release a new album before the end of the year to capitalise on the Christmas market.
A source told theStar On Sunday: "The plan is to have a new single out around November, with the album to follow a week or two later."
