Get ready, London! And other British places! Because the Found Footage Festival kicks off its first-ever UK tour on 29 June.
Devised by Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher - whose credits include The Onion and Late Show With David Letterman - the Found Footage Festival began life in New York City in 2004, and has gone on to sell out hundreds of shows across North America.
And what is it, exactly? Well, it's a night in which Pickett and Prueher host a collection of odd, hilarious and oddly hilarious footage that they've found on VHS tapes at garage sales and charity shops over the past 20 years. Imagine Popcorn Comedy mixed with Clive James On Television and you're halfway there.
Pickett and Prueher's new show has been created especially for British audiences and its highlights include "exercise tapes from the '80s and '90s", a video featuring a woman "whose enthusiasm for craft sponging borders on psychotic" and much, much more.
