EU's Cathy Ashton Caught On Camera Asking What Serbia's President Looks Like (VIDEO)

We might not recognise Serbia's president Tomislav Nikolić straight off the mark - but then we're not the EU's foreign policy chief Baroness Cathy Ashton.

In an incident likened by Tweeters to a scene from The Thick Of It, a video of Ashton pacing a Brussels corridor ahead of a meeting with Nikolić, frantically asking "who knows what he looks like?" has emerged - to the delight of eurosceptic party UKIP, who uploaded it to YouTube.

Ashton asks British diplomat Robert Cooper to get someone to accompany her, saying: “Robert, somebody has got to come with me because I don’t know what he looks like.”

But Cooper, who is the EU's envoy to the Balklands, admits "Nor do I."

The two are saved by an official who interjects, saying: “I have a picture."
