The Huffington Post UK's very own Carla Buzasi was named Online Editor of the Year at the prestigious Online Media Awards on Thursday night.
Carla, who has overseen the website since its creation last year, beat editors from The Times, Sunday Times, New Statesman, BBC News, the Press Gazette and ELLE magazine to the prize.
Praised for her leadership of the site, the panel said Carla earned the award for "successfully launching into the UK and bringing the bold direct magazine presentation to the news site and making a big splash in a competitive market."
"This is really an award for the whole team," she said.
"Thanks to my fabulous, hard-working and passionate team of editors and reporters, HuffPost UK is going from strength to strength, and I'm very proud that the impact we've made over the past year has been recognised by the Online Media Awards."
The prize was one of three that The Huffington Post UK was nominated for: the Best Commentary/Blogging prize, which was taken home by Channel 4 News' Factcheck, and the Best Use of Social Media award, which was given to the Guardian for its coverage of last year's England riots.
Elsewhere, the Guardian was named Website of the Year, and the MailOnline was presented with The Chairman's Award.
