Jetman Flies Alongside Passenger Plane Above Switzerland

Jetman Yves Rossy is up to his old tricks again.

The Swiss pilot once dreamt of "soaring through the air, with total freedom" via the workings of a jet propelled wing - and even though he first achieved that dream in 2006, he remains the only man to have done so.

In yet another celebration of his invention, Rossy recently dropped from a helicopter and deployed his Jetwing alongside a vintage Breitling passenger plane in Lake Lucerne, Switzerland.

Rossy is on something of a world tour with his carbon Kevlar backpack, having recently performed in Rio De Janeiro and several other cities.

And can you really blame him? When you have something this cool to play with, you'd use it every day if you could.

In this case Rossy soared above the Earth for about seven minutes until his fuel ran out and he parachuted to the group - safely.

The jetwing took Rossy ten years of designs and tests to get right.

Take a look below for some of his finest moments and more pics of the fly-by.
