Known for their ability to get a touch possessive over their boys, crazed 1D fans have forced radio DJ Lucy Horobin to close her Twitter account after sending her abuse over her relationship with Harry Styles.

Fans unleashed a tirade against Lucy with one writing: "Haha you stupid f***ing wh**e. god you must have some issues to f*** a 17 year old boy hahahahaha."
Before she deleted her account on the social networking site, the DJ addressed the recent reports.
"To clarify, I haven't said ANYTHING to any press, nor do I wish to. Thank you to those of you who have said kind words today. Xxx."
Lucy failed to turn up to present her show on Manchester's Key 103 yesterday, and it was left to co-host Jason King to tell listeners what had happened.
"Over the weekend you may have picked something up in the newsagents and read something which may have shocked you," he said.
“I’d like to confirm the rumours are true and she has taken time off - to read Fifty Shades of Grey (a best-selling saucy novel) and tell us all about it tomorrow.”
