Geri And Mel B Show Everything Is Forgiven At 'Viva Forever' Launch

'She's nice, she's nice, she's nice... I'm lucky to know these girls.' said Geri.

'You're just saying that cos you left.' Mel B chipped in, causing a laugh in the room. .

'But I came back... what does that say? They're forgiving.' Geri smiled back.

The electricity between the girls all crackled on stage - 'Geri, you got some more things to say?' asked Mel B, at one point - but they were all wide smiles as they announced the launch of their musical Viva Forever today at the same hotel they filmed their original video for Wannabe.

Spice Girls Reunited

Victoria Beckham said very little, standing next to Emma who kept turning to smile at her, and taking the microphone only once to say that it was about girl power "individually and collectively" - whatever that means.

The plot of Viva Forever, written by Jennifer Saunders, is not a biographical story about the girls, but their songs are being weaved around the story of a reality show band who have to split up when one of their number, Viva, is favoured over the rest - sound familiar?

Jennifer Saunders and producer Judith Craymer both said the girls had been a delight to work with, contrary to reports of many cracks along the way.

The premiere of the show is set for 11 December, with tickets going on sale today.
