A year after the Walker's Crisps ad campaign that comissioned it ended - and just days after his tax-based "error of judgement" came to light - the 13ft high and 11ft wide fibreglass head of comedian Jimmy Carr is going up for auction on eBay with a starting price of £3000.
Ribble Reclamation are looking to raise money for charity by selling off the curiosity item, with the charity set to benefit from their generosity, Recycling Lives UK, "hoping that Jimmy Carr will spot it and decide to cough up."
Of course, this may not happen, but here's hoping there's a fan of extremely large garden gnomes and/or stand-up comedians' heads that might want it for their back garden.
It does make you think, though - what is it with comedians and giant model versions of their heads? First Eddie Murphy gets the fibreglass treatment for his movie Meet Dave (see below), then his career goes down the toilet, then Jimmy Carr's noggin goes extra large and... well, what happens to his career remains to be seen, eh?
