Andy Murray Set For Centre Court Showdown With Ivo Karlovic At Wimbledon

Murray Ready For Big-Serving Karlovic

Andy Murray will return to centre court as British players continue their battle through Wimbledon today.

The British number one will hope to build on his day two success against Nikolay Davydenko when he takes on Ivo Karlovic, who reached the quarter-finals at the All England Club in 2009.

Murray has admitted it will be a tough match against 6ft 10in Karlovic.

"He's made it very difficult for a lot of players over the last five or six years because he serves so well and makes you feel pretty uncomfortable on the court," he said.

The pair have played three times before, with the Scot winning each time, but all have been close.

Murray will be aiming to follow Heather Watson, who yesterday became the first British woman in 10 years to get to the grand slam's third round.

Anne Keothavong and Elena Baltacha will also be hoping to make it through to the next round, the former taking on Sara Errani and Baltacha fighting defending ladies' champion Petra Kvitova.

It has been 26 years since Britain had more than one woman in round three.

Fellow Briton James Ward also has the chance to get to the third round, and today plays 10th seed Mardy Fish.

Rain set back the day's play, forcing eight planned games to be cancelled.

Organisers will be hoping for clear skies today to allow the schedule to get back on track.
