A smart One Direction fan nearly outfoxed the band's security team this week when she posed as Louis Tomlinson's girlfriend in an effort to meet her heroes.

The obsessive fan disguised herself as Eleanor Calder - copying her hair and outfit - which fooled bodyguards at their show in Houston, Texas so much that they took her to Louis.

A source told The Sun: “Fans outside the gig believed this girl was Eleanor and started hounding her about Louis and asking for her autograph.

“Security saw the commotion and took her inside the venue to present to Louis, who obviously told them it wasn’t her.”

We have a feeling that security guard may have been given his P45.

Meanwhile, Zayn Malik has also been speaking out about the hysteria that surrounds the boys.

He told The Mirror he caused one fan to faint during a signing.

"One reached out to touch my hand and after that she just passed out. She was gone, cold, on the floor," he said.

"Her friend just left her on the floor and carried on taking pictures. I was shocked."
