UPDATE: The Duchess of Cambridge will not be joining the Centre Point Sleep Over in November this year, according to a spokesperson for the charity.
The Duchess of Cambridge is to swap silk sheets for an evening sleeping rough.
Kate is to spend a night on the capital’s streets to raise awareness of London’s growing homeless problem.
The Duchess will take part in Centre Point’s Sleep Out campaign, alongside Loose Women regular Lisa Maxwell.
Her husband, Prince William, has already taken part in a Sleep Out as a patron of the charity.
The Prince slept rough for an evening in 2009. He was joined by Centre Point’s chief executive Seyi Obakin, bunkering down for a night near Blackfriars Bridge.

Maxwell invited Duchess Kate to join her for an evening on the streets after meeting her at a party.
Speaking to the Mirror, she said: “I work with Centre Point and William’s our patron. We had a little do and they both came down.
“She asked me about sleeping out, so I said: ‘Next time I do it, you’re doing it with me. No excuses, he’s done it.’ She said: ‘You’re on’.”
Prince William’s mother, Diana, was also a patron of the charity, which helps homeless people in the UK.
