Mel Gibson has had a restraining order filed against him by his stepmother Teddy Joye Hicks Gibson, reports TMZ.
The website reports Teddy Joye Hicks Gibson as claiming the Braveheart star verbally assaulted her on several occasions.
The application seen here, filed yesterday in Los Angeles superior court, also claims Gibson (and/or his sister Maura Dunne) caused her relationship with his father, 93-year-old Hutton Gibson, to end.
A California judge is scheduled to settle the matter next month in a full hearing.
In 2010, Gibson's ex-partner, Oksana Grigorieva, accused him of making angry rants against her as their relationship deteriorated.
Gibson has apologised repeatedly for all the previous incidents, he has so far declined to comment to news outlets on these latest allegations.
