Running Of The Bulls: Two Britons Gored At Pamplona Festival (PICTURES)

Two Brits Gored At Pamplona Bull Festival (PICTURES)

Two Britons have been gored by a bull during the running of the bulls festival in the northern Spanish city of Pamplona.

The two were amongst the thousands of runners who were racing ahead of six bulls through the city's street at the annual San Fermin festival when they were caught and attacked by one bull that had broken free from the pack. An American was also gored by the same animal.

The three were charged by the bull as they sought protections by a fence near the city's bullring, a Navarre regional government statement said. None of the three suffered serious injuries. Four other people were treated for cuts and bruises after the run on the 928-yard course.

The regional government said one of the Britons was gored in the left leg and the other in the right.

Fifteen people have been killed by bulls in the runs since 1924 which take place daily and are broadcast on state television.
