Katie Holmes has received primary custody of 6-year-old Suri, her daughter with Tom Cruise, according to People magazine.
"They both love their daughter," a source revealed. "Tom thinks she should be with her mother."

Tom "didn't want his family dragged through the mud," the source continued. "Neither one of them wanted this to be hashed out in public."
After lengthy discussions between the two parties, Jonathan Wolfe, Katie's divorce lawyer, issued the following statement: "This case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life."
On the day the divorce settlement was announced Cruise was spotted on set of his new film Oblivion, while Suri and Katie spend time in New York.
Although details have not been public, speculation surrounding the reasons for divorce have been rife - one has centred heavily around Tom's involvement in the Scientology movement and the future implications of this for Suri.
An all-black coach, alleged to be a gift to Tom from Scientology leaders, was also on set and will only make tongues wag further.

It is said Cruise demanded the vehicle was fitted with a drawer to keep slippers in so people do not walk on the carpet with dirty shoes.
Talk about bizarre.
