18-Year-Old Arrested Over Murder Yards From Olympic Park

Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at a busy shopping centre just yards from the Olympic Park have arrested another person today on suspicion of murder.

Liam Woodards, 24, was knifed after a fight broke out between a large group of men at Westfield in Stratford, east London, on June 29.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and violent disorder and remains in custody at an east London police station.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with Mr Woodard's murder and violent disorder.

The teenager appeared in custody at the Old Bailey today and will appear at the court for a plea and direction hearing on October 17.

Eleven other men were charged with violent disorder.
