Hundreds of thousands of devotees have celebrated India’s Bonalu festival.

The Hindu festival is held in the name of Mahakali, the Goddess of power and occurs in the Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Telangana and Rayalaseema regions of India.

The event sees offerings of food made to Mahakali, the Hindu goddess of time and death.
