TV REPLAY: EastEnders' Billy Mitchell Carries The Olympic Torch Through Albert Square

Out of all the thousands of people carrying the Olympic torch on its relay through the country, one of the most highly-anticipated, and prone to potential disaster, went off without a hitch last night.

EastEnders stalwart Billy Mitchell ran with the torch through Albert Square - in a special live version of the soap - as Lola gave birth on the kitchen floor.

WATCH BILLY IN ACTION ABOVE - HE GETS THE TORCH AT ABOUT 2:15 MINUTES FROM THE START OF THE FOOTAGE.

And he still managed to get to the side of his grand-daughter Lola, in time to support her giving birth. So, all in all, it was a big day for Billy, and the Olympic Torch was safely despatched onwards to its next, real-life, destination of Kingston-upon-Thames.
