Happy Mondays Original Line-Up Planning First Album In 20 Years?

Happy Again? First Album In 20 Years On The Way

The Happy Mondays are planning their first new album with the original line-up in 20 years, according to reports.

Shaun Ryder, his brother Paul, guitarist Mark Day, keyboardist Paul Davis and drummer Gary Whelan last recorded as a band in 1992, with Yes Please!

Frontman Shaun was quoted as telling the Daily Star: "At first there was no chance of the original line-up doing another album and then it went to maybe and now it's definitely gonna happen.

"I'm writing lyrics now. I'm always scribbling stuff so we'll take it to Sunny Levine, who will produce the album later this year."

Shaun is also preparing to shoot a TV show, Shaun Ryder On UFOs while the band will also be headlining Camp Bestival in Dorset this weekend.
