Year-old conjoined twins who shared a pelvis and three legs have been successfully separated.
Muaiman and Muaimin Sabran were born without an anal opening and were also joined at the penis.
The boys’ shared bladder was also separated during the 24-hour operation at Hospital Kuala Lumpur on July 14.

The children’s shared penis was reconstructed into two organs during the surgery and they are in a stable condition, the Global Post said.

Their father Azil told Malaysia’s Star newspaper: “I feel so relieved. I could not sleep well before the surgery as I was so worried.
“For now, I’m just glad that they are safe.”
Datuk Dr Zakaria Zahari, the hospital’s head of paediatric surgery said: “With proper rehabilitation, both boys can lead a fairly normal and independent life.
“The sexual and reproductive functions of both twins will be assessed further as they grow.”
