Mitt Romney's Press Aide Tells American Journalists To 'Kiss My Ass'

'Kiss My Ass': Mitt Romney's Press Aide Scolds American Journalists

American reporters were told to "show some respect" by Mit Romney's press aide on Tuesday, after their shouted questions about the Republican presidential candidate's "gaffes" were rebuffed.

As Romney left the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw, Poland, on Tuesday, their attempts to prise an answer from Romney were met with scorn by Rick Gorka.

"Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect," he told the press.

As the video from CNN shows, the reporters had been attempting to ask whether his foreign tour had been overshadowed by "mishaps".

"Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?" The New York Times asked.

While the CNN reporter yelled: "Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven't taken but three questions on this trip from the press."

During his visit to London Romney was criticised for taking questions from the British press but apparently ignoring the Americans.

"Can't believe Romney took questions from the British press corps but not from my colleagues travelling overseas with him. Bad form," tweeted NBC's Chuck Todd.

He added: "Whether you love or hate us in the media; you should want your leaders to at least submit themselves to questions."

Politico reports that Gorka also told another reporter to "shove it". A comment for which he is said to later have apologised for.
