A 10-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted while playing in sand dunes on a beach, police said.
The child was attacked by a man with a harelip at around 6pm on Friday evening.
Her assailant pounced as she enjoyed the dunes on Studland Beach in Dorset.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called to Studland Beach after a report of a sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl.
"The girl was playing in the sand dunes when she was approached by the assailant, who sexually assaulted her."
The man is believed to be aged between 50 and 70 and was carrying a backpack.
Police said he wore a green jacket and sunglasses and had brown hair.
Holidaymakers flock to the four-mile stretch of Dorset coastline - which includes a popular naturist beach - every summer.
Three wardens started patrolling the nudist area in 2009 to cut crime after a string of sexual offences were reported at the beauty spot.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the latest attack to contact police or Crimestoppers.
