But then we got to synchronised swimming. At first - like many - we thought it was a beautiful, lyrical expression of the human body underwater, and now we think its just plain terrifying.

Watching the video expertly put together by Buzzfeed (well done, guys). We aren't sure which shocks us more: the terrifying facial expressions as they leap out of the water or just how damn water-resistant their makeup is.
