'Sexual Predator' Teacher Had Sexual Relations With Pupils 'At School Prom'

A teaching assistant faces jail after admitting having sexual relations with three boys during a school prom, and sleeping with one pupil up to 12 times.

Mother-of-two Emma Webb appeared at Reading Crown Court on Thursday to plead guilty to 16 charges relating to the boys, aged 15 to 17.

The married 41-year-old was a cover supervisor and mentor at the secondary school in Wokingham, Berkshire, which cannot be named for legal reasons.

At a court hearing in June, prosecutor Helen Gambrill described Webb as a "sexual predator".

At the hearing, Webb was accused of performing oral sex on one of the pupils just days before she appeared before magistrates. Webb was also accused of sleeping with one pupil up to 12 times, sending graphic images of herself to another, and performing sex acts on two of the boys. The offences took place between September 2009 and October 2010.

She was arrested when one of the boys' mothers contacted police and was suspended from school at the end of May.

Webb admitted 16 offences: two charges of causing or inciting sexual activity with a child, two counts of causing or inciting sexual activity with a child in a position of trust, three counts of causing a child to watch a sex act by viewing a sexual image and nine counts of sexual activity with a child in a position of trust. She was accused of having sexual relations with the boys at an end of year school prom, according to one paper.

She denied a charge of perverting the course of justice.

Judge John Reddihough told Webb she would been given credit for pleading guilty at the earliest opportunity but would not be spared jail, the Daily Mail reported.

She will be sentenced on 28 September.
