'Call Me Maybe' Gets Geordie Treatment

Call Me Maybe has already proved its ability to translate into different cultures.

The song was originally recorded by Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen and made famous when Justin Bieber and his girlfriend tweeted about it.

Since then, it's been covered by artists from Katy Perry to Nickelback to Crystal Palace Football Club, and even got Olympic approval, when the US swimming team recorded their own video to the song.

Now, it's got its own Geordie makeover, with two female artists known as May Arcade recording their own regional version, complete with a change of lyrics, change of title (Call Me Da'lin) and a lot of Geordie slang in there, which might confuse some of the song's international fans...
