Rihanna set tongue furiously wagging at last night's MTV VMAs when she publicly embraced her abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
Speculation that the couple could be back together was ignited when Rihanna walked off stage after accepting her award for Video Of The Year and kissed and hugged Chris.
It is the first time we have publicly seen RiRi and Chris - who infamously beat her at a Grammys party in 2009 - together at the same time.

However, the moment was caught by 'all-access' filming and didn't feature in the main broadcast of the show, so perhaps the pair thought they had escaped the glare of the cameras.
It was only last month that Rihanna was telling Oprah how Chris was "the love of her life" and broke down in tears as she insisted that they were not back together.
"He's in a relationship of his own. I'm single but we have maintained a very close friendship," she told the chat show host.
