When Bradley Wiggins became the first Briton to win the Tour de France, all money was on him to win sports personality of the year.

Less than two weeks later, when he added a gold medal to his haul, all bets were off.

Shakey
Remember when we all thought Bradley Wiggins was a shoe in for Sports Personality Of The Year? Innocent times

Then came Super Saturday, where Team GB won six medals - three within an hour of each other. Then Sarah Storey, and the rousing achievements of Paralympics GB. Finally, Andy Murray won a Grand Slam (oh, and he also won a gold and silver medal for Team GB too).

Bradley Wiggins: The Tour de France winner is 6/5 to win the BBC's sports personality of the year

It's been Britain's best sporting year and now, it's anyone's game. Chris Hoy? Bradley Wiggins? Mo Farah? Jessica Ennis? Greg Rutherford? One of our incredible Paralympians Sarah Storey, Jonnie Peacock, Ellie Simmonds or David Weir? Or the first Brit to win a Grand Slam in 76 years?
