One Direction To Take Over Radio 1

One Direction will try out their presenting skills when they take over Radio 1 for one day, in honour of the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards, where they will also be performing.

On Saturday 6 October the boys, who found fame on the X Factor, will join DJs on Radio 1 to co-host a show, each of them co-hosting in turn.

Gemma Cairney and One Direction’s Liam Payne (08:00-10:00)

Nick Grimshaw and One Direction’s Harry Styles (10:00-12:00)

Scott Mills and One Direction’s Zayn Malik (12:00-14:00)

Huw Stephens and One Direction’s Niall Horan (14:00-16:00)

Greg James and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson (16:00-18:00)

The band will then headline the Radio 1 Teen Awards, live from Wembley Arena on Sunday 7 October.

Conor Maynard, Taylor Swift, Fun, Ne-yo and Little Mix are also confirmed to perform at the ceremony.

The centrepiece of Radio 1's Teen Awards will be the recognition of three very special teenagers, who will each win a Teen Hero Award.

The Radio 1 Teen Awards will be broadcast on Monday 8 October on BBC Three at 8pm.
