Rangers Condemn BBC's Mad Men Montage Of Manager Ally McCoist

WATCH: BBC's McCoist Mad Men Montage Which Has 'Disgusted' Rangers

Rangers are "disgusted" at the BBC's decision to depict Ally McCoist falling to his death in a sequence riffed off from the popular AMC series Mad Men.

Having been relegated to Scotland's Third Division due to their financial mess, the BBC capitalised on the club's freefall prior to the club's League Cup win over Motherwell on Wednesday.

The BBC, who once employed McCoist when he was a captain on A Question of Sport, said "there was no intention to cause any offence".

However the Blues made their fury with the skit apparent.

"We have been inundated with emails and phone calls from supporters who are – rightly, in our opinion – furious with the way the programme began," read a club statement.

"While the manager is known for his good sense of humour, he is both angry and disgusted by the BBC’s treatment both of him personally and the club.

"As such, Rangers have made contact with the BBC asking why they have chosen to act in such a manner."
