Denise Van Outen says she's 'grown out' of non-stop partying now she's a mum - but she does still enjoy the occasional girls' night out.

Former ladette Denise is mum to Betsy, two, her daughter with West End star Lee Mead.

"I feel like I've grown out of that whole period, but there's still a bit of the devil in me," the Strictly Come Dancing favourite told Fabulous magazine.

"I still like to go out and have a good time, but I don't go as crazy as I used to. I went to Ibiza last summer with Amanda Byram and three friends, and we stayed out until 6am as I didn't have to get up in the morning with Betsy.

"I still love to have a good time but my life has changed and I need to be a responsible mum. I have little bursts of it instead."

The star also spoke of her 'really hard' first year of motherhood, saying she had sometimes felt like a 'crap mum' when she couldn't understand what her baby daughter wanted.

I did find the first year really hard as you don't get a manual. But then I discovered that a lot of women feel like that.

The proud mum also revealed how her adorable little girl sometimes embarrasses her in places by saying things that she doesn't really want other people to hear - citing 'mummy, I've just done a poo!' when she was in the supermarket queue as an example!

Denise also says little Betsy already has her first crush - on Harry from One Direction
