Our favourite prank of the week so far comes courtesy of US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres who sent one of her writers off to the supermarket to approach unsuspecting shoppers and speak to them entirely in song lyrics.
The response? Widespread bafflement, as you'd imagine - although most people did their level best to fathom out what she was saying and give a logical answer when confronted with questions such as, "Hello - is it me you're looking for?"
Oh well, at least she didn't start reciting the lyrics to Gangnam Style. But personally, we'd have made her go for Wham!'s Young Guns (Go For It). You know? "Hey sucker - what the hell's got into you?"
