Siri Reviews Movies: Apple Voice Assistant Gives Opinions On Film (PICTURES)

PICS: Siri Learns To Review Movies (From A Robot's Perspective)

Apple's voice assistant Siri has learned to review movies.

No - not just pull up movie reviews from RottenTomatoes.com (though she can do that too) - we mean actually give her opinions on films.

Just ask hee "What's [FILM] about" and you'll see what we mean.

And yes, her reviews are from a very robotic perspective.

For as an automated voice assistant, it is natural that Siri empathises with the robotic, the unreal and the manufactured - and has a curious disdain for her human masters.

Asked about 2001: A Space Odyssey, Siri responds: "It's about an assistant HAL who tries to make contact with a higher intelligence. These two guys get in the way and mess it all up".

Meanwhile, some reviews are more succinct. Asked about her opinion on the 2001 film Memento, in which a man with no long-term memory has to solve a crime, Siri replies simply:

"I forget".
