Cannabis Plant Discovered At Elderly Couple's Bedfordshire Home After Police Drug Raid

Isn't This A Pot Plant?

An elderly couple found themselves the target of a police drug raid, after accidentally growing a huge cannabis bush from buying the shrub at a local car boot sale.

The couple had taken the pot plant home and given it pride of place in their garden. The shrub bloomed into an enormous plant, along the wooden fence.

Bedfordshire Police seized the plant on Friday, posting a photograph of it on Twitter, claiming it was the "biggest plant we have ever seen".

A police spokesman said the unnamed embarrassed couple had asked them to remove the picture from social networking sites. It is not known whether the hapless pair will be charged for drug offences.
