A very select few women get to take part in the annual north American wife-carrying competition, and of the 50 that do only one couple can be crowned the winner.

The defending world champions Taisto Miettinen and Kristina Haapanen took home the title, The October Hills Sun Journal reported.
From Helsinki, Finland, the couple completed the course in an effortless 52.58 seconds.
The event is 13th year attracted a crowd of between 1,500 and 2,000 people.
