She’s no shrinking violet at the best of times, and British pop star Lily Allen continued her penchant for online rants this morning.
Writing under her married name, Lily Rose Cooper, the singer had been venting on Monday night about “small-minded idiot blokes” telling women whether or not they’re entitled to abortions.
This morning she posted a series of passive aggressive tweets calling for men “who take their responsibilities very seriously and work very hard to look after their babies” to be applauded.
She then slammed men who leave their partners and their children, before making something of a leap in suggesting broken families leave mothers wondering what "life might have been like if she had never had the baby in the first place".
Some of Lily's followers suggested the behaviour she was alluding to could be related to post-natal depression or even trouble in her own marriage, while others speculated that she had just caught up with EastEnders.
The 27-year-old gave birth to baby Ethel in December and announced in July she is expecting her second child with husband Sam Cooper.
When one user dryly asked "is now a good time to ask how the album's coming along", Lily changed tack again, replying: "those were lyrics from the first single, EXCITED?"
