You know the old saying about taking to things "like a duck to water"? Well, it may be slightly misleading. It turns out ducks take a little while to get used to the water - and some of them are distinctly unimpressed at first.
The proof comes in the form of this video from Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary in New York, which shows exactly what happened when a bunch of rescued ducks were led off to the pond for the first time.
So it's true: you can lead a duck to water, but you can't make it swim straight away. (Sorry - we're getting our old sayings muddled up.)
