England rugby union World Cup winner Lawrence Dallaglio and Commonwealth, European and World championship medallist Mark Foster have united to front Cancer Research UK's 'Stand Up To Cancer' campaign.
The duo have pledged their support to the campaign, a televised event which will be broadcast on Channel 4 on 19 October.
In this new national fundraising event, television, music and film stars will come together to encourage the UK public to raise millions for the fight against cancer.
The on-air season will build over a whole week on Channel 4, culminating in a live celebrity-studded fundraising and entertainment extravaganza.
Dallaglio said: “I’m Standing Up To Cancer in memory of my beautiful mum, Eileen. I know from personal experience and with my work with my foundation, how important is for us to continue to make progress in beating cancer. Stand Up To Cancer is helping raise vital funds to get treatments to patients more quickly, ultimately saving more lives."
Other celebrity supporters include Gwyneth Paltrow, Melanie C, Alan Carr, Davina McCall, Peter Andre, Mark Foster and Dr. Christian Jessen.
