Online Gallery Launches To Mark World Mental Health Day

A Different Perspective: World Mental Health Day Gallery Goes Online

Wednesday is World Mental Health day, and to raise awareness and showcase talent an online gallery of work has gone live.

The project, called Creative Minds, has stemmed from Circle Support, which provides a range of specialist mental health services. Creative Minds aims to showcase the poetry, photography and paintings of some of its most creative users.

David James is one of the more prolific members of the group, and has contributed some of the 50 works to the online space. Speaking of the project, he said, “I hope that by coinciding with World Mental Health Day, Creative Minds will raise awareness for some important issues as well as for the talent of people with mental health disabilities in expressing themselves creatively.”

Today is the first day artwork will start to appear on the site at www.Circle.org.uk, before launching officially in Shoreditch later this month.

We've got a sneak preview of some of the work on show - let us know what you think of the project in the comments below.
