A prostitute who specialises in dominatrix role play has been ordered to pay 200 euros (around £160) to a local charity in penance after her client accused her of hurting him.
The defendant - a 35-year-old mother-of-four from Cologne, Germany - is alleged to have held a kitchen knife to the man's throat while he was tied up, before demanding his debit card and PIN number. She is also said to have whipped and dripped hot wax on to the man against his will.
"I just wanted some erotic role play, not to be dominated," the plaintiff - an unnamed 49-year-old undertaker - told the court, reports German news agency TheLocal.de.
However, the court ruled that it was impossible to know for sure what had happened because both parties had consumed a lot of cocaine. The charges were dropped and the woman was ordered to pay the penance money to a charity that helps victims of crime.
Apparently, the dominatrix has been in pre-trial custody for five weeks, but declined compensation for time spent behind bars - which was jolly decent of her. Then again, perhaps it made a nice break for her...
