'Homeland' Series 3 Rights Snapped Up By Channel 4

Channel 4 Make A 'Homeland' Promise

A third series of 'Homeland' has not been commissioned yet, but that hasn't stopped Channel 4 snapping up the rights to it.

The broadcaster is so keen not to lose the hit show to a rival that they've already signed up to show the next run of the terrorist drama starring Claire Danes and Damian Lewis.

Sunday night's episode of the Emmy Award-winning show put CIA agent Carrie (Danes) back in the action in Beirut. The intelligence proffered by her old city contact about a meeting with Abu Nazir kick-started a chain of events in Lebanon and Washington.

Meanwhile, in Washington, troubled soldier Brody (Lewis) was invited ever further along the corridors of military intelligence.
