Girls Aloud 'Something New' Video vs. Little Mix 'DNA' Video: Which Girlband's Effort Is Best? (VIDEO)

Girls Aloud vs. Little Mix (VIDEO)

In one corner, it's pop royalty Girls Aloud. In the other, it's the new kids on the pop block, Little Mix.

And the battle of the girl bands well and truly kicked off today as both unveiled the videos for their new singles.

'Something New' from the mighty Aloud marks their return after a three year hiatus in celebration of their tenth anniversary, and boy are they back with a bang.

The video sees Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle strutting their stuff in some seriously hot matching orange dresses against a monochrome background.

The girls are then individually show in black and white in some more casual get ups - or in Sarah's case in no clothes at all, as she appears naked with flames projected onto her body. Saucy.

Their 22nd single has been confirmed as this year's 'Children In Need' single, and the girls will perform it for the first time during the live telethon on 16 November.

It is then released on 18 November, ahead of their Greatest Hits collection 'TEN', which follows a week later.

Meanwhile over in camp Little Mix, the girls have gone all mean and moody in their first themed video shoot for third single 'DNA'.

The highly stylised promo clip sees the girls turn into villains as they hunt down a man.

Perrie, Jesy, Jade and Leigh-Anne are a far cry from their usual colourfully styled selves as they smoulder in leather and skin-tight utility outfits, set against a backdrop similar to that of the film 'Sin City'.

'DNA' is released next month, ahead of the album of the same name on 19 November.

But which girl band clinches it for the best video? There is only one way to find out...
