The Q Awards 2012 is underway in Central London with the global cream of the music world all hoping for a shiny new gong.

Florence + the Machine's Florence Welch, Blur, The Stone Roses and Noel Gallagher all have two nominations each, while Lady GaGa, Adele and Nicki Minaj got one.

Legends Johnny Marr, Alice Cooper and the pocket pop princess, Kylie, have been rubbing shoulders on the red carpet with the likes of new talent Rizzle Kicks and Example.

Ex-Charlatans singer, Tim Burgess, is apparently feeling a little worse for wear...

..whilst Johnny Marr is looking forward to hanging out with his Wakefield chums..

Comedian Richard Herring is a little star-struck...

...and original Sugababe, Keisha Buchanan is making an appearance with her MKS bandmates...
