Jimmy Savile Sex Abuse: Fresh Turf Marks Spot Where Disgraced Star Was Buried

Fresh Turf Marks Spot Where Jimmy Savile Was Buried

On the anniversary of Jimmy Savile's death only newly placed turf marks the spot of his grave, overlooking Scarborough Cemetery.

All other tributes and markings have been removed following allegations of child abuse.

The huge headstone was removed over two weeks ago at the request of the family after the evidence of abuse gathered in strength.

Savile's grave has been turfed over following allegations of sexual abuse

Meanwhile, Jimmy Savile's cottage in the Scottish Highlands has been vandalised with "abusive slogans".

The BBC reports "Jimmy the beast" was scrawled on the cottage's walls.

Last week officers searched the cottage to look for "any evidence of any others being involved in any offending with him".

On Monday the chairman of the BBC Trust has said the BBC will face the music if wrongdoing was discovered at the corporation, as the inquiry into the "culture" during the era of Jimmy Savile's sex abuse is set to begin.
