Boris Johnson found himself confronted by hecklers while appearing in Bristol to support the upcoming Police and Crime Commissioner elections on Wednesday.
The London mayor was subjected to chants of "Tory scum" and "pleb" while speaking to the press in the city.
Johnson sustained the hecklers, calling them "lovely people" and "sweethearts" on camera, before appealing to the fragmented group, asking: "Can the neo-anarcho syndicalist fringe stick together please?"
Cameras then caught Johnson shouting at the hecklers who followed the mayor around the city's docks, calling them "lefty tossers".
