X Factor Shakeup? Cowell Could 'Reunite' Original Panel

Will Cowell Reunite Old X Factor Panel?

Simon Cowell is keen to bring the spark back to The X Factor for the next series by reuniting the original line-up of judges.

After weeks of falling viewing figures and petty bickering between the judges - Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Nicole Scherzinger - Simon is hoping that a return of the original line-up in 2013 could turn things round for the show.

He is hoping that he can convince Sharon Osbourne to sign up to work on the show with him once again and bring back the old spark.

Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole are also expected to receive phone calls from the mogul asking them to come back for the next series.

It is likely that getting it right next year will be a crucial moment for the show, as it marks the end of its contracted run on ITV1.

A source told The Sun: "The first three series relied solely on genuine British talent and a chemistry between the judges that simply hasn't been there since Sharon left. By series three they had produced an international star with Leona Lewis and the show had real credibility.

"Now it's just a circus freak show with the ringmaster trying to pull the strings on the other side of the Atlantic. If Simon can get the original judges back he will have pulled victory from the jaws of defeat."

The news may well be music to Louis' ears, as he has been with the programme since the start and it could confirm his position for another year to come.

But it may not be so good for Dermot O'Leary, as apparently Simon wants to replace him with Holly Willoughby following her impressive stint hosting BBC1's The Voice.
