Arsène Wenger has said he is "not very positive" about Jack Wilshere's England selection for next week's friendly against Sweden in Gothenburg.
Wilshere has made three first-team appearances in the past fortnight having been sidelined for 17 months due to a series of ankle and foot injuries.
And the 20-year-old's return to first-team football has prompted Roy Hodgson to call him up to an experimental England squad for the opening of Sweden's Friends Arena.
Wilshere is suspended for this weekend's Premier League match with Fulham after receiving a red card away to Manchester United last weekend, but Wenger is adamant he should receive extra rest after a lengthy lay-off.

"I wouldn’t like to come out on my feelings on this because they are not very positive," Wenger said. "I think it is early for him.
"He has played three games now and only one full game. He has been out for 17 months. I think he needs 10 days of good recovery. It’s good to have a little break after three games."
Wenger added his exclusion from the Three Lions party would have been "the ideal solution" but was not surprised by Wilshere's selection.

Wilshere has not featured for England since the 2-2 draw against Switzerland at Wembley in a European Championship qualifier in June 2011.
His club manager was then adamant the midfielder would not participate in that summer's Under-21 Euros having made 54 appearances for club and country in the 2010-11 campaign.

Under-21s coach Stuart Pearce acquiesced to Wenger's request but ironically Wilshere's slew of injuries began when he sustained an ankle injury in an Emirates Cup friendly versus New York Red Bulls ahead of the 2011-12 season.
Should he feature in Scandinavia, Wilshere will not have played for eight days after completing 90 minutes against Schalke in the Champions League on Tuesday.
He has won five caps for the Three Lions.
