A man has been shot dead at the official residence of the Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, according to Stockholm police.
The man has not yet been named but reportedly had security clearance to be at Sager House in the city centre. Police also confirmed there was no suspicion that any crime has been committed.
It is believed that the man's death was either the result of a suicide or an accident.

"There are no signs of a crime. We investigate this as a suicide or a work-related accident," Towe Hagg, a police spokeswoman said.
According to various reports, the man could be a security guard at the house or, according to Sweden's Aftonbladet newspaper, one of Reinfeldt's bodyguards.

The alert about the shooting prompted a massive police response early Friday afternoon, with three armed response teams and several police cars arriving on the scene.
It has been confirmed that Reinfeldt was not at the residence at the time of the shooting.
In 1986, the Swedish prime minister Olof Palme was shot and killed in a late-night Stockholm street ambush. Palme, 59, was walking unattended through the streets, as he often did, often shunning tight security for the sake of open government.
