One of the elite American soldiers who took part in the raid which located and killed Osama Bin Laden has been reportedly disciplined for working as a paid consultant for a video game.
The soldier is one of seven members of SEAL Team Six who have been punished for working on the game Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
The game is produced by Electronic Arts, though it is unclear who employed the soldiers as consultants.
While Medal of Honor does not feature the Bin Laden raid, it does market itself on 'authenticity' and the accuracy with which it recreates US Navy Seal equipment, tactics and attacks on Somalian pirates and other military situations.

The soldiers apparently used classified material in their briefings, and according to CBS "violated the unwritten code that SEALs are silent warriors who shun the spotlight".
The news service said that the seven soldiers who worked on the game received letters of reprimand, which would end their realistic chances of promotion, and lost half of two months' pay.
The US Department of Defense said:
A non-judicial punishment hearing was conducted yesterday, Nov. 7 and seven Naval Special Warfare (NSW) personnel faced administrative proceedings. An additional NSW investigation is ongoing to determine if more personnel may be involved.
They are being charged with violation of Article 92: Orders violation, misuse of command gear and violation of Article 92: Dereliction of duty, disclosure of classified material.
Two Senior Chief Special Operators and five Chief Special Operators received the punishment. They received a punitive letter of reprimand and forfeiture of ½ month's pay for two months

Medal of Honor: Warfighter reached the top of the UK charts after its release last month, despite receiving relatively poor reviews.
