Well, apparently not. According to this authoritative and highly truthful account of how Harry returned to the front lines, it was all punishment for getting starkers in Las Vegas!!!

Roddy, Guy, Adam and Joseph created the Prince Harry parody, 'The Fresh Prince the Spare Heir" video, because they "were amused by his antics this year and thought the world must be missing him now the hero is away fighting."
Adam said: "I've always noticed how US rappers love UK royals (as in Snoop Dogg's "Wet" and Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Ni**as in Paris"), so we combined these two worlds.
"The iconic 'Fresh Prince' completed this unlikely connection."
